 How to Troubleshoot Common CIS Issues

  • To add an alternate critic, send the critic's name, grade, email address, and phone number to AdminNCA@cappies.org and someone will add them to your CIS roster for you. Please note that aternate critics will appear in CIS as inactive, and will not have access to CIS unless they are called up as an active critc. To call an alternate up, please notify the Program Director that the alternate is being made a full critic and the change will be made in CIS for you.

  • Alternate critic's account in CIS are inactive unless they are promoted to critic during the current season. They should still be listed in the team's database in CIS and attend trainings. If an alternate needs to be updated to a full critic, please notify us by emailing AdminNCA@cappies.org. The first time you log in as a former alternate, use "Forgot Password" to get your login information.

  • First, check with your director or advisor to find out which email they used for you when they applied for this season's Cappies program. Then, go to the CIS login page, and go through the "forgot password" process using that email address. You will receive new login credentials to you email address. If your email is incorrect in CIS, email AdminNCA@cappies.org with your name, school, and correct email address.

  • Log in to CIS and navigate to "Correct Your Personal Information" under the Your Account header. You can then submit a correction to your information, which will be sent to the Program Director for approval. Please make sure you include your name, grade, email, and phone number in the correction.

  • CIS requires that only one person be designated Lead Critic. If you have co-Leads, please send the Program Director your second Lead's information. We cannot designate that critic as a Lead in CIS, but we will indicate in our records that the critic is a co-Lead so that they may be recognized as such within the program.

  • To add critics, send the new critic's name, email address, phone number, and grade level to AdminNCA@cappies.org and we will get your roster updated ASAP. A new critic cannot review shows until they have submitted a Parental Authorization Form and attended a training. Mid-year trainings are offered for the purpose of on-boarding late additions to critics teams.

    To remove a critic, simply email AdminNCA@cappies.org the critic's name.
